Golden Knights capture their first Stanley Cup title with a win in Game 5

The Vegas Golden Knights beat the Florida Panthers 9-3 in Game 5 to help capture the franchise’s first NHL championship.

Golden Knights Captain Mark Stone scored a hat-trick. It was the first in a Stanley Cup Final since Colorado Avalanche’s Peter Forsberg scored three in a game in 1996.

Jonathan Marchessault wins the Conn Smythe Trophy as Playoff MVP. He finished with 13 goals, tied for the playoff lead, and second in points with 25.

Jonathan Marchessault played like a playoff MVP all series long. He shined in the big moments when Vegas needed a spark. He is one of the best players in the playoffs that I have seen since Sidney Crosby won the Conn Smythe trophy as Playoff MVP in 2017.

Mark Stone is one of the best Captains and is a great leader. He played one of the best seasons I have seen from an NHL Captain since Alex Ovechkin.

Head Coach Bruce Cassidy finally got his first title since falling short in 2019 when the Boston Bruins lost to the St. Louis Blues.

Don Sweeney getting delicious karma for trying to throw Cassidy under the bus for his own failures. Now Bruce is Stanley Cup champion, and the Bruins are the laughing stock of hockey.

Will this mean anything? Probably not, because I feel the Boys Club will probably put their heads in the sand and continue screwing themselves, but still hilarious to see us get maimed for our own hubris.
