Gonzaga bulldogs beats the UCLA Bruins 79-76 in the Sweet 16 in Las Vegas on Thursday night to advance to the Elite 8.
Gonzaga’s Drew Timme had 36 points for his record 10th NCAA Tournament game with 20 points. Julian Strawther had 16 points in the game and hit the 3 pointer from the march madness logo to give Gonzaga the lead 78-76 with 7.2 seconds left in the 2nd half.
UCLA’s Jaime Jaquez Jr lead the way for the Bruins with 29 points in the game. His teammate Tiger Campbell had 14 points and 9 assists.
Gonzaga advances to the Elite 8 and will play UConn Huskies for a chance to go to the Final Four in Houston.
