Kansas Jayhawks Bounce Back

Kansas Jayhawks one of the best basketball programs in the country. The team’s history is impressive, with players like Paul Pierce, Nick Collison, and Devon Dotson. Last year was disappointing when they didn’t play in the tournament and they lost a couple good players as a result.

This year’s team has been up and down. With March Madness right around the corner, these conference games will be that much more important. They have been on a losing streak. It has a lot to do with them blowing leads in games and creating too many turnovers.

Jayhawks turned things around this Monday with a 78-66 victory over the #23 ranked Oklahoma State. David McCormick led the way with 23 points. Cade Cunningham, who is projected to be the number one pick in the upcoming draft, shined as a freshman with 26 points and is one of the best point guards that I have seen in quite a while. Whenever I get a chance to see this guy play, he is very good at shooting the three but is also a good passer and leader. When he does not have the ball in his hands, he will find ways to get open for a pass and will then look for an open teammate whenever he is in transition.

If the Jayhawks can continue to play like they did on Monday, they will set themselves up for success in the upcoming Big 12 Tournament.

Jayhawks next two games will be against Iowa State, which will be a home and home series. The first game will be at 7:00pm on ESPN, Thursday Feb 11, vs Iowa state at Allen Field House. The second game will be at 3:00pm on ABC, Saturday Feb 13, at Iowa State.
