LSU beats Florida in Game 3 and wins their 7th CWS Title

On Monday night, The LSU Tigers beat the Florida Gators 18-4 in Game 3 and won their 7th national championship in program history.

It was their first title since 2009.

LSU starter Thatcher Hurd (8-3) got his second win in the series, going six innings and allowing two runs on two hits while striking out seven.

The Tigers had 24 hits, the most in a CWS game.

LSU outfielder Dylan Crews, the 2023 Golden Spikes winner and the possible No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft, went 4 for 6 with three runs in his final game.

It’s the first time that both the LSU Baseball and Basketball (Men’s or Women’s) have won titles in the same year. LSU Women’s Basketball won a title earlier this year back in April.

Congrats to LSU on a fantastic season
