On Monday night, The Michigan Wolverines beat the Washington Huskies 34-13 in the national championship game and won their first title since 1997.
Michigan running backs Senior Blake Corum and Junior Donovan Edwards were outstanding in this game. Edwards had two long touchdown runs and rushed for 229 yards in the first quarter. Corum ran for 134 yards and two touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
To me, the Michigan defense made the difference in the game. They pressured Michael Penix Jr all game and forced him to make bad decisions. They didn’t allow him to make those deep ball plays he is known for.
Jim Harbaugh got over the hump and delivered a national title. Beating their rival Ohio State three straight seasons, winning the Big Ten championship three times, and making the college football playoffs three times are enormous accomplishments.
I want to say Congrats to Michigan on winning their first title since 1997
