No.8 North Carolina pulled away and beat the Pittsburgh Panthers 70-57

Antonio DiCesare

On Tuesday night, The No.8 North Carolina Tar Heels beat the Pitt Panthers 70-57 in a back-and-forth battle in Pittsburgh.

Leading the way for the Tar Heels, Graduate Senior Armando Bacot scored 16 points to become just the seventh player in UNC history to reach 2,000 points in a career.

RJ Davis added 15 points for the Tar Heels and contributed on both ends. The Tar Heels have won three straight since losing competitive back-to-back losses against Connecticut and Kentucky.

North Carolina must fix some things to make a run, especially in March Madness.

Those things are:

-        Creating turnovers

-        Rebound

-        Get Cormac Ryan the ball more

-        Close the game, especially in the 2nd half

Next Game:

Saturday, January 6th

North Carolina @ Clemson 12:00 pm on ESPN2
