On Tuesday night, the Duke Blue Devils beat the Michigan State Spartans 74-65 in the State Farm champions classic in Chicago.
Leading the way for Duke, sophomore Kyle Filipowski scored 15 points in the game and helped his team withstand several pushes by Michigan State.
Duke Freshman Caleb Foster scored 18 points and played well. He had some big moments in the game. Whenever his team needed a considerable basket, he delivered on that account.
I like both Duke and Michigan State men’s basketball teams.
There are a lot of things that I want to see that they have to improve on and do better:
Duke:
- Rebound the basketball, especially on defense
- No turnovers
- Control the tempo during the game
- Jeremy Roach Kyle Filipowski lead by example
- Caleb Foster learn from the veterans
Michigan State:
- Don’t rush your plays
- Better defense
- Tyson Walker shine in big moments
- Take control of the game in the closing minutes
Next Games for both:

Butler @ Michigan State 6:30 pm on FS1
