North Carolina goes into South Bend and beats Notre Dame

North Carolina Men’s Basketball gets a big win, beating Notre Dame 63-59 in South Bend.

Caleb Love and Armando Bacot led the way for North Carolina, scoring 16 points in the game. Their teammate Pete Nance also had a great game with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Bacot grabbed 11 rebounds for his 67th career double-double, tying him with Tom Burleson for fourth in ACC history. Tim Duncan had the most with 87.

North Carolina had to overcome an eight-point deficit at halftime. According to ESPN’s Bracketologist Joe Lunardi, he has the Tar Heels in the first four out section.

In my opinion, if they want to get into March Madness Tourney, they have to do the following:

- Get Quad 1 win by beating either Virginia or Duke

- Score points early and keep the lead

- Create Turnovers

- Rebound

- Caleb Love, Armando Bacot, R.J Davis, and others have to play their best basketball now, heading toward the end of the regular season

North Carolina’s Next Game: Saturday, Feb. 25 vs Virginia 6:00 pm on ESPN
