Nuggets win Game 1 of the NBA Finals behind Jokic’s triple-double


Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets beat Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat 104-93 in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night in Denver.


Jokic got a triple-double in his finals debut. The two-time NBA MVP finished the game with 27 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds. His teammate and part of the dynamic duo, Jamal Murray had 26 points but had some trouble with his cold shooting during the game.


Aaron Gordon had 16 points and Michael Porter Jr. added 14 points which really helped out on the offense for the Nuggets.


Bam Adebayo finished the game with 26 points and 13 rebounds for Miami. Jimmy Butler had 13 points and Gabe Vincent added 19 points. Miami shot 41% for the entire game.
