On Wednesday night, Tanner Houck took the mound against the Cleveland Guardians and put on a show. He threw 94 pitches and got a complete game shutout.
The Red Sox would win the game 2-0 thanks to Tanner Houck's fantastic performance. He struck out nine and didn't even walk a batter all game long.
Sox's Catcher Conor Wong got two hits in the game: a solo home run in the third inning and a single in the seventh.
It was the first complete game for Houck's career and the first complete game by a Red Sox player since Nathan Eovaldi in May 2022.
The official time of Wednesday's game was one hour, 49 minutes.
Let's hope the Red Sox can make up some ground and start playing better Baseball to win games.
I think Tanner Houck is the best pitcher for the Red Sox. I would like to see him continue to dominant and stay focused.
