The Bruins got a win in Columbus and beat the Blue Jackets 4-1

On Tuesday night, the Bruins beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-1 to extend their win streak to four games, but they got their first win of the new year.

Kevin Shattenkirk got the scoring going in the second period when he scored his 5th of the season to give his team a 1-0 lead. James Van Riemsdyk added his (7th) on the power-play, and Danton Heinen (5th) and Trent Frederic (10th) also contributed goals for the Bruins.

Linus Ullmark made 25 saves and got the win in a well-balanced game.

The Bruins sit atop the Atlantic Division, and let's hope they can stay there in the long run. It is a long season; they must take it one game at a time. Stay focused on the task and keep playing at a high level each time.
