On Thursday, the New York Mets beat the Miami Marlins 3-2 on Opening Day at Loan Depot Park in Miami, FL.
Brandon Nimmo led the way for the Met's offense with three RBIs. He came up huge in a significant moment in the seventh inning when he ripped a single into center field and gave the Mets a 5-3 lead to help seal the win.
Max Scherzer was fantastic in the game for the Mets against the Marlins. He threw six strong innings allowing three runs while striking out six.
