On Tuesday, UConn Women’s Basketball beat the Marquette Golden Eagles 85-59, with Paige Bueckers leading the way for the Huskies after a scary injury with her knee.
Bueckers scored 28 points and five assists. She had a scary moment when one of the Marquette players was driving to the basket and hit Paige’s knee, and she went down in some pain. She was okay, but the coaching staff wanted to make sure.
Her teammate, Ashlynn Shade, had 15 points and an assist.
UConn is a top team in college basketball, for sure. But they have a long way to go to win a national title. They must beat teams like Iowa with Caitlin Clark, LSU with Angel Reese, South Carolina, Notre Dame, and Tennessee.
